Glanmore Castle, Castle of the Great Glen, was originally built in 1760 and was the family seat of the Synge’s. In 1804, Ireland’s premier Architect Francis Johnston was commissioned to transform the original house into a castellated residence by adding turrets and a castellated parapet. In recent years, Glanmore Castle has been tastefully subdivided into four separate homes offering total privacy.
